New Year Thinks

I'm pretty "time is a construct" even in years where that construct is considerably more constructed than it has been this year. Therefore, resolutions, aren't my thing. I do find the markers that we, as a species, have decided matter to be useful in terms of considering what I want over the next, in this case, 365 days.
Vanessa Riley, an enormously talented author, was hanging out on one of my histrom comms yesterday, and were discussing how she had a year of yes in 2019, and found it really amazing. And I was saying that I thought what I actually needed was a year of no with very very specific yeses.
For posterity, in this realm of my life, those yeses are:
1. Keep this blog going, regardless of what that looks like.
2. Keep working on my TBR pile, and continue to prioritize reading time, even when other stuff starts becoming more possible.
3. Prioritizing writing time is always a goal for me, there is nothing changing in that. However, I have embarked on writing two different romances at this moment. I would like to finish one by the end of this year. I would like to, at the VERY least, have the other thoroughly researched. Depending on how much primary materials that requires, and whether those primary materials are non-archivally accessible, that may or may not be realistic, I am not sure yet.
Making plans, so we all know the universe is laughing it's ass off.
